Curriculum

Upper School

The Upper School (grades 9–12) prepares students for the rigors of post graduate education. Our graduates attend colleges and universities around the world. Brent Subic students develop into leaders for tomorrow through a challenging curriculum, a diverse activities program and a firm grounding in an ecumenical Christian environment.

The curriculum is based on the American system of education.  Courses are offered in the core curricula areas of Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Music and Art, Religious Studies and Information Technology. . In grades 11 and 12 we offer the International Baccaleaurate Program of studies. There are three tracks a student may follow:

1. The full IB Diploma Program of studies.

2. IB certificates in selected subjects.

3. The regular Brent Diploma course of studies which parallels the IB Diploma, but with fewer requirements.

Students are challenged daily to lead group activities, present ideas in class, think globally, contest view points, listen, hypothesize, draw conclusions and question.

The school is accredited by The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) based in the United States, and by the Council of International Schools (CIS).
